The Putting Green is our original, free browser game. It needs no account, app download or payment. Your round, completed rounds and personal bests are saved in this browser when device storage is available. The Classic 9 and date-specific Daily 9 have separate records. It is not a simulation of any real course or an official Rory McIlroy game.

Your round stays on your device.

We use no advertising trackers or marketing cookies. Game progress, personal records, completion dates for local streaks, the introductory help preference and a random browser identifier use localStorage. The identifier is not an account or a device fingerprint; it limits repeat leaderboard entries and helps count returning browsers. Clear this site’s browser data to remove these local records. Private browsing may erase them.

To improve Daily 9 and show genuine clubhouse activity, we record a small set of first-party events: game page views, starts, completed rounds, score submissions, difficulty choices and share-button clicks. Records can include the Daily 9 date, difficulty, broad device category, broad referral source, score, strokes and completion time. The random browser identifier is hashed before storage. We do not ask for an email, collect exact location or store a full browser user-agent in these records. The internal event data is not publicly accessible. Leaderboard entries add only the nickname you choose, your best score for that browser, mode and date. Public score names are optional, filtered and limited to 20 characters. These records are removed during later game activity once they are more than 90 days old.

Sharing happens only when you choose a sharing control. Messages and challenge links contain your score, course date, difficulty and chosen sharing route. Shared and leaderboard scores are friendly browser-submitted results, not independently verified. Social services process information under their own policies when you open them. Scorecard images are created on your device. Hosting providers may process routine request information to deliver and secure the website.

Daily courses and public leaderboards change at midnight UTC. A round already started keeps its original date. Share links preserve the date so a friend can play the same layout.
